Parrot Fall/Winter 2011-2012

The power of beauty and the creative energy of a concept that combines concreteness and aesthetic taste: Parrot intensifies its research and offers girls the chance to create their own style, even in the daily wear proposals. Starting with the back-to-school pieces, there are lots of opportunities to coordinate denim-washed jeans, illuminated with appliqués of stones and Swarovski crystals, with short jersey jackets, sweaters and down jackets; a touch of spotted effect in the details and in the short skirts; combinations of blue, off-white and light blue. Sophisticated concreteness wafts through the American-style college theme: super-used denim, beige and black tartan, flounced microskirts and knit micro-cardigans, a delightful poodle print on georgette and a sepia portrait print on T-shirts. The true passe-partout of the season is the irresistible black cape. The military theme is decidedly chic and is parsed in that shade of “nude” pink that is all the rage just now and coordinates with gray, dove gray and milk white. Lots of flannel for dresses, skirts and pants with passementerie galore; special proposals include Alcantara dresses, knit lace on the tricot wear and lapin details on the cloth outerwear. The power of black and fuchsia flows in a series of rock-inspired proposals that are personalized with touches of black and white polka dots and a positive-negative print of big polka dot bows on chiffon.
The macro bouclé knitwear is special, and a precious limited edition has been created for ceremony wear in white and silver, and off-white and black: hues and flashes that call to mind icy Nordic landscapes, illuminated with appliqués of ostrich feathers, pearls, Swarovski crystals and macro logos. This same stylistic code holds for the Les Parrotines baby collection, with a delightful limited edition in milk white and silver; the Les Petit Parrotines newborn collection has proposals for brand new boys and girls.
